Which App do I use for this device?
Download the MOBI SMART App in your apple or android app store, and follow the setup instructions.
Does this device require WiFi?
This device along with other MOBI SMART Home products requires a 2.4GHz WiFi connection. Once paired to your WiFi, you can access this device from anywhere using the MOBI SMART App.
Where can I place this sensor?
This device is a two-part sensor and is designed to be placed on a door or window, but can be placed on anything that opens and closes.
Does this work on sliding doors?
Yes! This product is fastened using double-backed adhesive strips or can be screwed in (both options are provided) Place one side on the movable part and one on the immoveable side. When closed they should be touching.
Does this sensor make a noise?
This sensor pairs to the MOBI SMART App. When the sensor is opened you can set up notifications on your device.
How do I know it's working?
In the MOBI SMART App, you will be able to see the device battery power and if the device is currently open or closed.
Is this product weatherproof?
We only recommend our door and window sensors for indoor use. They are not water or weatherproof.
Can I use this Product with WiFi or does it require a Hub?
This product does not require the use of a hub just the MOBI SMART app on your device and a 2.4GHz WiFi connection.
Does using this device require a subscription plan?
Not at all, MOBI Smart Home products were designed with affordability in mind!
Is this product compatible with Google Home and Alexa?
Yes, Just say “Alexa, Is [NAME OF SENSOR] Open/Closed?” or “Hey Google, Is [NAME OF SENSOR] Open/Closed?”
How long does the battery last?
Our door and window sensors are powered by 2 x AAA batteries. Depending on the frequency of alarm notifications the batteries can last up to 6 months. Your MOBI Smart App will display your battery life and notify you when the battery is running low and it’s time to change them.
Does this product have a warranty?
This product comes with a 90-Day Limited Warranty. The Limited Warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship under normal use during the warranty period. During the warranty period, MOBI® will repair or replace, at no charge*, products or parts of a product that proves defective because of improper material or workmanship, under normal use and maintenance.
