Which App do I use for this device?

Download the MOBI SMART App in your apple or android app store, and follow the setup instructions

Does this device require WiFi?

This device along with other MOBI SMART Home products requires a 2.4GHz WiFi connection. Once paired to your WiFi, you can access this device from anywhere using the MOBI SMART App.

How do I set up this device to turn on automatically?

Using the MOBI SMART App, you can set “automations” for this device to turn on and off when conditions are met. Set the device to turn on automatically at a certain time or if another sensor is triggered such as the MOBI Door and Window Sensor.

Does this work with a surge protector?

Our smart plug can be plugged into a surge protector. A surge protector is not required for use.

If I plug an adapter into this device can it control multiple devices?

The device will only power on/off the adapter, you will not be able to control the devices individually connected to the adapter.

Do I need any other special smart products to use this smart plug?

The beauty of our product is all you need is WiFi, your smart phone and the plug! No additional hubs or gateways required.

Is this plug also a surge protector?

This plug is not a surge protector.

What is the range of coverage for this smart plug?

As long as you have internet access and your smart plug is paired to your WiFi at home, you can turn this smart plug on or off. The MOBI Smart App will show you in-app the status of your smart plug device, so you can turn off that light you forgot about it in the kitchen even though you’re miles away on vacation!

Does the Smart Plug have a manual on and off switch?

Yes! Located on the left-hand side of the plug is the manual on/off switch. There is an LED power indicator on this switch, Pink means it is off and Blue lets you know its on.

Can I ask Alexa/Google to “turn on my lights” with my voice instead of using the app manually?

Absolutely! Our Smart Plug is both Alexa and Google compatible. Be sure to label your MOBI Smart Plug within your app and then say “Alexa, turn [PLUG NAME] on/off” or “Ok Google, turn [PLUG NAME] on/off”. You can also ask both Alex and Google to check is the plug is on or off.

Does it work with 5G WiFi?

To give our customer the best range with their products, our Smart Plug utilizes a 2.4Ghz WiFi frequency.

What is the input voltage?

Normal input voltage for our Smart Plug is 120V

Does this have a surge protector built in?

Our smart plug does not have a built-in surge protector.

Is this plug weatherproof, to use outdoors?

This Smart Plug is not weatherproof unfortunately, it is solely intended for indoor use. But keep an eye out for our new products!

Does this plug offer energy monitoring?

Yes! Our smart plug offers in-app statistics of its use.

Can I use this with other smart products?

Absolutely! While Our MOBI Smart plug effortlessly pairs with the rest of our Smart Home line to create a truly smart home; our plug uses TUYA technology, which makes it compatible with other TUYA products and can all be controlled from one app. This way you don’t have to have multiple Apps downloaded to your smartphone!

Can I set a schedule for when the plug should turn on?

Yes! MOBI Smart App allows you to set up schedules and automations.

Can I give someone else control of the smart plug?

Yes! Using MOBI Smart app’s family management you can add users to rooms or individual devices. You may add up to 100 users.

Does this product have a warranty?

This product comes with a 90-Day Limited Warranty. The Limited Warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship under normal use during the warranty period. During the warranty period, MOBI® will repair or replace, at no charge*, products or parts of a product that proves defective because of improper material or workmanship, under normal use and maintenance.
